Radiation Oncologist, Director of Radiation Oncology CALHN

I am the current Director of Radiation Oncology at CALHN and an experienced Radiation Oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Noarlunga, North Adelaide and Windsor Gardens. I am passionate about providing my patients with the best possible care and bring a high-quality, evidence-based approach using advanced techniques and technologies to my practice. I pride myself in building strong relationships with my patients by engaging in clear, open communication and listening to their concerns. I have a strong interest in quality improvement and take pride in refining processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and patient experience. I’m passionate about delivering high-quality care and ensuring that service delivery consistently meets the highest standards, with a focus on achieving excellent outcomes for patients and the teams I work with.

In 2012 I completed my Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Adelaide, South Australia. I then completed 5 years of specialist radiation oncology training within the SA/NT network, gaining my Fellowship in 2021 and moving directly to a Staff Specialist role in CALHN. I have recently become an Associate Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Medical Administrators (AFRACMA) and look to become a full fellow in the future.

I am the Head of Radiation Oncology at CALHN which also oversees our satellite site at Lyell McEwin Hospital. I am also the co-chair of the Radiation Oncology Quality & Safety Committee at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. From a college perspective, I sit on the Targeting Cancer Management Committee; a campaign aimed to raise the profile of radiation therapy in the community, improve health care professional’s education about radiation therapy, and increase patient access and utilisation of radiation therapy
